EMOTIONAL WAVES & HOW TO OVERCOME THEM!
Our emotional experience, or feeling, is due to the train of thoughts which we choose to follow. Thoughts can be a doorway into our true feelings which have come from our experience of life. The reason we have emotional waves is thus..
Our thoughts do not usually follow a basic pattern, instead they shoot all over the place, this is because something has happened to us, which has knocked our usual sense of security, and instead of dealing with this 'lack' as it were, we convince ourselves that this incident is not real. So we choose to ignore it! But deep down we, of course, don't believe this, because it was real, and it happened to us!
So, as we go along our ignorant way, we come across things, events, circumstances etc. that remind us of what happened, and thus, the 'lack' comes back.
So the only way out of this is to face up to that lack, to see & believe it, and then we can deal with it, because when you run away from anything - the 'thing' still exists, and so one day it will find us! Thus.. If we push things away, we reinforce their existence. Hence the Wise One accepts what is happening, and goes with it, but not as a victim, because the Wise One recognizes it as not separate from themselves - so the Wise One is free from any attack from the 'thing'.
THIS IS HOW WE SHOULD VIEW OUR MIND, AND HENCE, OURSELVES!
