OUR POTENTIAL AS LIKENED TO A SEED
Often it is said that we have a Divine spark, but what does this Mean?
Well usually what is meant is that there is a Devine consciousness in us, but if this was the case why aren't we Devine? Or why aren't we aware of our Divinity?
No! of course most of us are not yet Devine, but what we do have is the potential to become Devine, or in other words, we can become conscious of our Whole Being, instead of just fragments.
Just like a seed, we need to look after it and cultivate it in nature, if we do nothing (keep it in the dark) it will not grow, but if we plant it in 'rich soil', and make sure it gets plenty of what it needs - in terms of helping it to grow, it will become strong, and it will grow and change completely through that growth.
It is when you realize that the Self is not a fixed entity, that the Self or experience of what you are can Change, but first we have to become aware of ourselves, in the sense of our 'Whole being'.
All our fragmented parts of our Self must come together and integrate, only then can we transform our Whole being into Divinity, or in other words, we can grow into Devine consciousness, and so reach our highest potential.
But the Ego or experience of a separate fixed Self doesn't have to die - it's more you having to transform the Ego - there is no battle, only transformation through integration.
